3rd Post: ZUBUCHON "Best Pig...EVER"

Hello to you again. This will be the 3rd post for my Cebu Trip. Sorry may hang-over pa rin ako sa bakasyon ko last week sa Cebu. And I'm sure lahat ng turista na bumisita dito, eh parehas kami nang nararamdaman pagkatapos ng bakasyon - gustong bumalik. 

Cebu is known so well of their lechon or suckling pig (English term). Lechon is a Spanish word pala so malamang sa malamang sila ang nagpasimuno nito. Kaya Pinoys must thank the Spaniards dahil kung di dahil sa kanila wala tayong lechon na 'bida tuwing handaan' ngayon.

ZUBUCHON

"Best Pig...EVER" - Anthony Bourdain

Zubuchon is just one of those restaurants in Cebu who sells lechon. Ito na ung pinakamalapit na lechon place sa hotel (Crown Regency Hotel) namin so dito na kami nag-early dinner at wala naman kaming pinagsisihan. Medyo maaga kami nagpunta sa isang branch nila (idk what branch basta tabi ng coffee shop at bank) mga 5PM at sakto namang dine-deliver na ung mga lechon nila. Talagang 5PM pa daw available ung lechon nila, kaya tamang-tama lang ung dating namin. 

Very accommodating ung mga staffs dun sa branch na kinainan namin maybe it's because we're the first customer. Or maybe talaga lang well-trained sila sa pag-entertain ng mga tourists. 

See? Pinayagan pa nila kaming magpa-picture sa lechon at naka-wacky pa.

This one is really cool. Their paper mats have tips on how to eat lechon the best way, what's the best partner drink for their lechon and guys take a look at this "Best Pig...EVER", a note from Anthony Bourdain, the host of the TLC series No Reservations. I'm amazed! 

 Zubuchon Pancit (P190) - Another Pinoy's favorite, pancit. But this time it's a pancit with a twist. They add some crispy lechon balat and it really matches the sauce of the pancit. 

 Adobong Kangkong with Chicharon (P80) - This one is my favorite, very simple dish na may added crispy chicharon and nuts para maiba. 

 Zubuchon Lechon (1 kilo, P490) - And of course pwede bang mawala ang lechon sa order namin? Syempre hindi. It's a bit pricey as you see but it's really worth the price coz the crispy feeling of the balat inside your mouth and the tenderness with flavorful taste of the lechon meat is just so perfect to eat. *whew*

Dessert Sampler Platter (P200) - It's a platter of leche flan, biko, budbud kabug (medyo di kita dahil nailaliman ng mangoes), and of course the ripe mangoes. Pinoy na Pinoy!

We didn't ordered drinks coz we're succumb eating their mains. Grabe. But thanks to the generous staffs of Zubuchon for giving us free taste of their best seller Kamyas Shake. Di ko na nakuhanan ng picture kasi naubos na agad. So kelangan ko pa bang i-explain kung bakit?
